Embracing the Girl Child Initiative is a non-governmental organization in partnership with LinkedLegal Atorneys aimed at providing legal representation, counseling and rehabilitation of victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence; sensitizing the girl child on various laws protecting the girl child, pubety, menstrual hygiene, career choices, sex ducation. etc. and also the free distribution of sanitary towels..
To empower the girl child to live life without confines, creating a society where every girl has access to education, justice, and the opportunity to reach her full potential.
To provide legal representation and counseling to victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence.
• To help in the rehabilitation of the victims of sexual abuse.
• To sensitize the Girl Child on various laws protecting the girl child, puberty, career choices, sex education, etc.
• Free distribution of sanitary towels to girls in school.
• To inspire, educate and provide mentorship for the girl child and strive to make a nation free of gender-based limits.
• To raise awareness on the ills of sex based violence on the girl child and advocate against it.
• To sensitize the public against domestic violence ana to curb its fast- growing occurrences.

Nneamaka Onyema FICMC is a Legal Practitioner and the Founder of Embracing the Girl Child Initiative.
Girls should be able to focus on learning and not on the lack of access to period protection.
Since 2019, Nneamaka with her team has visited a number of secondary schools across Nigeria and has empowered over 10,000 girls in school and young women on the streets; bringing together professionals from different walks of life to pass on their knowledge and experience, and the free distribution of standard sanitary towels.
Her love to sensitise and bring awareness to members of the public on various Laws, Legislatures and Policies made her initiate a not-for-profit education series tagged "Now You Know Series".
The Now You Know Series is a weekly series where facts on various Laws, Policies and weird Law facts are posted on her various social media handles, questions from the audience are tackled and discussions on related issues are made.
She has various publications to her name on various law topics bringing awareness to the members of the public.
In March 2022, Nneamaka was one of the few women selected across Africa for the Tony Elumelu's Mentorship Program for Women Breaking Barriers within their community and is currently a Tony Elumelu mentee.
She has won various awards one of which is the Power Woman Magazine's Award in the category-"Inspirational Woman" in recognition of her inspiration to women through her ideas, works and life. Nneamaka is a Nigerian.
